My Peppy Car Needs Healthcare

Driving a car on a spare tire is the social equivalent of having gangrene. Everyone’s been looking at me strangely, and every pebble in the road feels it’s going to kill us. Grace and elegance, we have none. Dancing around corners with the wind in my hair is but a memory. My driving sunglasses are in the glovebox, and the stereo’s turned off, because the peppy car and I are sick.

All I Need

Winter is Coming

The hail on the roof is so loud that I had to go outside to see if it was a raccoon. It wasn’t, and there’s now only leftover rain to see.

Rooftop!

No hail here!

Driving Round Town!

“I showed you this video weeks ago.” “Yeah, but NOW I like it.”

Weekend!

It seems like I got nothing done this weekend, but the dishwasher has been installed, and I’ve spent much of the afternoon practising how to load it. Two trips to Home Depot, and I’m surprised I managed to get out of there for a total of $36 dollars plus a rental which was another $19. A bit like a candy store, the Home Depot is hard to get out of for less than a hundred bucks. I even returned 2 things, bringing my grand total for the weekend DOWN to hardly $49.

Whatever money I saved by returning unused plumbing supplies, I spent on coffee though, so it’s not like I’m winning any points on the frugality charts here. I hit up Starbucks twice today, but (for some reason) peeked in the door upon my return to make sure the staff had changed over since my first visit. I was worried the staff were judging me that I might like a coffee twice in one day. I didn’t think that about the lady at the tool rental stand in Home Depot. In fact, when I saw her for the second time in the same day, I waved my pex crimper thinger triumphantly ‘Thanks! I want to return this now!’ Dare I not want to buy 2 (4? 5!) coffees in one day.

New Dishwasher

Now the dirty dishes have a home until they need to be washed. This used to be a cupboard!

Foosball

Does anyone want a Foosball table? It’s made by Sportcraft, is in perfect condition, and is probably one of the best tables I’ve ever seen. It was a Christmas gift to me from my parents in 1997, but a girl doesn’t play much, and never took it to her own house. I have pictures available. My parents would like to move, and this is one of the things of mine I HAVE to get out of their house. Let me know!

It’s cold!

I have socks and a sweater on, and the thermostat is set to 70. We’re 3 degrees over what I’d normally consider to be the ‘regular’ temperature setting, and I still think it’s too damn cold.

The fish are all doing well though! Their heater is set to 74, so they’re having a day on the beach!
